BSF is very tolerant of fuel positioning misalignment FIG23. Even if the fuel is located several centimeters from the sphere’s center the ignition proceeds with no significant degradation. This is a significant advantage over direct-drive ICF, which requires that the laser be focused within 50 microns of the fuel.
